Prices are in New Zealand Dollars (NZD). GST is not charged unless Lift IT Solutions is GST-registered and GST is clearly stated on the invoice. Workshop and on-site hands-on labour has a minimum charge of one hour unless otherwise agreed in writing before work commences. A minimum charge of 30 minutes applies to remote support sessions.

\n\n\n\n

We will provide an estimate before beginning significant work. Estimates are not fixed quotes and actual charges may vary if the scope of work changes once diagnostics are completed. We will notify you of any material change in expected cost before proceeding.

\n\n\n\n

3. Payment

\n\n\n\n

Payment is due upon completion of service unless a prior arrangement has been agreed in writing. We accept the following payment methods:

\n\n\n\n
    \n
  • Bank transfer (account details provided on invoice)
  • \n\n\n\n
  • Cash
  • \n
\n\n\n\n

Invoices are due within the period stated on the invoice. Where an account remains unpaid, we may pause further work, withhold return of repaired equipment where lawful, and seek reasonable recovery costs that were disclosed or agreed and are permitted by law. Any fee or collection action will be proportionate to the overdue amount and circumstances.

\n\n\n\n

4. Data and Privacy

\n\n\n\n

We take the privacy of your data seriously. Before performing any service that involves access to your device or files, we will make reasonable efforts to notify you of any potential risks.

\n\n\n\n

We strongly recommend that you back up all data before handing your device over for service. Backups are handled only with customer consent. The customer may confirm they already have a backup, request Lift IT Solutions to perform a temporary backup, or decline backup and accept the risk. Any temporary backup performed by Lift IT Solutions is used only for the agreed repair/service, stored securely where practical, and deleted after successful handover unless otherwise agreed in writing. Lift IT Solutions accepts no responsibility for loss of data, files, software, or settings except to the extent required by New Zealand law, including the Consumer Guarantees Act and Fair Trading Act.

\n\n\n\n

Any personal information collected from you (such as name, contact details, and device information) will be handled in accordance with the New Zealand Privacy Act 2020 and our Privacy Policy, available at liftitsolutions.nz.

\n\n\n\n

5. Pre-Existing Conditions and Risk

\n\n\n\n

You acknowledge that devices brought in for service may have pre-existing damage, wear, or faults that are not visible or diagnosable until work begins. Lift IT Solutions will not be held liable for any damage or faults that:

\n\n\n\n
    \n
  • Were present before service commenced
  • \n\n\n\n
  • Arise from pre-existing weaknesses in the hardware (e.g., brittle plastics, failing components, liquid damage)
  • \n\n\n\n
  • Result from the natural progression of an existing fault discovered during diagnosis
  • \n
\n\n\n\n

Where a pre-existing condition is discovered during a job, we will notify you before proceeding and obtain your approval to continue.

\n\n\n\n

6. Warranty on Workmanship

\n\n\n\n

We stand behind our work. Labour performed by Lift IT Solutions carries a 30-day workmanship warranty from the date of service completion. This means that if the same fault reoccurs within 30 days and is directly attributable to our work, we will re-attend or re-service the issue at no additional labour charge.

\n\n\n\n

This warranty does not cover:

\n\n\n\n
    \n
  • New or unrelated faults arising after the service
  • \n\n\n\n
  • Damage caused by the customer or a third party following service
  • \n\n\n\n
  • Parts sourced and supplied by the customer
  • \n\n\n\n
  • Software issues arising after the service (e.g., virus infection, failed updates)
  • \n
\n\n\n\n

Parts supplied by Lift IT Solutions carry the applicable supplier or manufacturer warranty where available, which will be passed on to the customer. Parts sourced and supplied by the customer are not covered by any parts warranty from Lift IT Solutions.

\n\n\n\n

7. Parts and Components

\n\n\n\n

Where replacement parts are required, we will obtain your approval before sourcing or ordering any components. Parts costs are charged separately and in addition to labour. Special-order, non-returnable, high-value, or customer-specific parts may require payment upfront before ordering.

\n\n\n\n

We use quality replacement parts where available, but cannot always guarantee the use of original manufacturer (OEM) parts unless specifically requested and agreed. The use of compatible or aftermarket parts will be disclosed to you before purchase.

\n\n\n\n

8. Uncollected Devices

\n\n\n\n

Devices left at our workshop must be collected within 30 days of notification that the service is complete. We will make reasonable attempts to contact you via phone and email.

\n\n\n\n

If a device remains uncollected after 60 days, we may take lawful steps to store, return, recycle, sell, or otherwise deal with it only after reasonable attempts to contact you and any notice required by applicable New Zealand law. A storage fee of $5.00 per day may apply after the initial 30-day collection period where this was disclosed to you. Nothing in this clause authorises disposal contrary to law or removes rights that cannot lawfully be excluded.

\n\n\n\n

9. Limitation of Liability

\n\n\n\n

Subject to rights and remedies that cannot lawfully be excluded, Lift IT Solutions’ contractual liability will be limited to losses that were reasonably foreseeable and directly connected with the agreed service. Any monetary limitation applies only to the maximum extent permitted by New Zealand law. We will not be liable for:

\n\n\n\n
    \n
  • Indirect, consequential, or economic loss
  • \n\n\n\n
  • Loss of data, software, or business revenue
  • \n\n\n\n
  • Any claim arising from advice given in good faith that you chose to act on
  • \n
\n\n\n\n

Nothing in these Terms limits or excludes rights you may have under the Consumer Guarantees Act 1993 or the Fair Trading Act 1986.

\n\n\n\n

10. Cancellations and No-shows

\n\n\n\n

For on-site appointments, we ask for at least 2 hours’ notice if you need to cancel or reschedule. Cancellations made with less than 2 hours’ notice may incur a cancellation fee equal to the $40.00 call-out fee to cover travel costs already incurred.

\n\n\n\n

11. Disputes

\n\n\n\n

If you are unsatisfied with any aspect of our service, please contact us in the first instance so we can try to resolve the issue. We are committed to fair and reasonable resolution of all complaints.

\n\n\n\n

If we are unable to resolve a dispute directly, the matter may be referred to the Disputes Tribunal of New Zealand.

\n\n\n\n

12. Changes to These Terms

\n\n\n\n

We may update these Terms from time to time. The most current version will always be available at liftitsolutions.nz. Updated Terms will apply to services booked after the revised version is published, unless a change is required by law or separately agreed with you. Material changes affecting an existing job will be communicated where reasonably practicable.

Phone and Tablet Repair Limitations

Opening a phone or tablet may affect water resistance. Lift IT Solutions does not guarantee restored water resistance after screen, battery, or other internal repairs unless expressly stated in writing. Some features, including biometric functions, display calibration, True Tone-style features, or manufacturer-paired parts, may be limited by device model, part availability, or manufacturer restrictions. These risks will be explained where relevant before work proceeds. Swollen batteries, liquid damage, and unsafe devices may be declined or referred to a specialist.

Temporary Backups and Device Access

Device passwords, PINs, or access credentials are requested only where necessary for the agreed work and are deleted from active records after return of the device. Temporary backups are performed only with customer consent and deleted after successful handover unless otherwise agreed in writing.
