Warranty & Refunds

Our Commitment

At Lift IT Solutions, I stand behind my work. The 30-day workmanship warranty below is an additional service promise and does not limit any rights or remedies you may have under the Consumer Guarantees Act 1993 or other New Zealand law.

30-Day Workmanship Warranty

Repair and support labour carried out by Lift IT Solutions includes a 30-day workmanship warranty. If the same fault recurs within 30 days and is directly attributable to the work performed, I will reassess and remedy that workmanship issue without an additional labour charge. Statutory consumer rights may apply beyond this voluntary 30-day period.

This warranty covers:

  • The specific fault or issue we were engaged to fix
  • Labour performed by Lift IT Solutions

This warranty does not cover:

  • New or unrelated faults that arise after the service
  • Damage caused by accidental misuse, power surges, or third-party modifications
  • Hardware failures in parts not supplied or installed by us

Parts & Hardware

Parts supplied by Lift IT Solutions carry the applicable supplier or manufacturer warranty where available. These warranties are additional to any non-excludable rights under New Zealand consumer law. Customer-supplied parts are not covered by a Lift IT Solutions parts warranty, although workmanship on the agreed installation remains subject to applicable legal obligations.

Service Fees

Remote support has a 30-minute minimum charge at $75/hr. Workshop and on-site hands-on jobs have a 1-hour minimum at $90/hr. By booking a service, you agree to the applicable minimum charge. If we cannot resolve your issue, we will let you know before proceeding further — no surprise charges.

Cancellations

Please give at least two hours’ notice to cancel or reschedule an on-site appointment. A cancellation with less notice may incur the $40 call-out fee where travel or preparation costs have already been incurred.

Refunds and Remedies

If a service does not meet an applicable consumer guarantee, the available remedy depends on the nature and seriousness of the problem. This may include correcting the work within a reasonable time, reimbursement of reasonable repair costs in qualifying circumstances, cancellation, a partial or full refund, or compensation where required by law.

A change of mind does not normally create a right to a refund for diagnostic time, completed labour, or specially ordered parts. This does not affect remedies available for faulty goods, substandard services, misleading information, or other rights that cannot lawfully be excluded.

How to Raise a Warranty or Service Concern

  1. Contact me promptly with the invoice or job details and a description of the problem.
  2. Allow a reasonable opportunity to inspect the device and determine whether the issue relates to the original work.
  3. I will explain the finding and proposed remedy in plain English.

For full service conditions, see the Terms and Conditions. You can raise a concern through the Contact page.
